The UNESCO sites of Palermo on display in Buenos Aires

The Italian Cultural Institute of Buenos Aires and the UNESCO Observatory of Villa Ocampo invite the public to this photographic exhibition that illustrates the incredible variety of Sicilian architectural and cultural heritage, among the first in the world for diversity, heterogeneity, stylistic specificity and cultural. A path that winds along the sites that have become part of the Unesco World Heritage Site.

The images range from the reconstruction after the 1693 earthquake in the Val di Noto, to the Valle dei Tempi in Agrigento; from the Baroque heritage, to the Arab-Norman architecture of Palermo, in a kaleidoscope of cultures, architectures, landscapes and environments of a unique land.

An overall exhibition of these beauties, interpreted in a creative way by Francesco Ferla, already author of the photographs of the Municipality of Palermo, Department of Culture, for the exhibition: “Arab-Norman Palermo, the Cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale. Candidates for inclusion in the Unesco World Heritage Site ".

The viewer will thus have the unique opportunity to enjoy an overall picture of the Sicilian Unesco heritage, characterized by the complexity and number of the elements that compose it.
